Building Biology Consultants Seminar Announced!

We are pleased to announce the first Building Biology Consultants Course IBN UK Seminar and Exam.

Taking place in Exeter from 13-18 November 2017, the one week seminar will cover the key aspects of the online Building Biology Consultant’s Course with a focus on local climates, regulations, typical local materials and construction methods.

The seminars will be delivered by fully qualified, experienced construction professionals including visiting practitioners from our partner institute, the IBN.

For those undertaking the online course, the final written exam, if you wish to sit it, will take place on the final day.

Booking is available now through the Building Biology Association.  Please download and return a completed participation agreement in order to receive an invoice for attendance.

The IBN Building Biology Consultant Course is now Live!

We are pleased to announce that the IBN Building Biology Consultant Course is now available for the first time to English speaking people throughout the world.

The Building Biology Association is a Partner Institute with the IBN (Institut für Baubiologie + Nachhaltigkeit) delivering this course for the first time in the UK.

The IBN Building Biology Consultant course is an online course that makes available a wealth of information regarding healthy buildings based on years of research and practical application by the IBN.

On successful completion of the course (typically taken over a twelve month period), students will receive a CPD certificate from the IBN. To become a professionally-registered IBN Building Biology Consultant, students are required to additionally attend a series of face-to-face seminars (typically two blocks of three days) and successfully complete the IBN Building Biology Consultant written examination (held on the last day of the second block of seminars).

IBN Course Coming Soon!

The Building Biology Association is pleased to announce an imminent arrival – the eagerly anticipated English-speaking IBN Building Biology Consultant course!

The IBN Building Biology Consultant course will be launched in mid-May 2016 and is fully accredited by the Institut für Baubiologie + Nachhaltigkeit (IBN).

The IBN Building Biology Consultant course has been translated into English for the first time, and will involve online learning, face-to-face seminars, and a written exam after the duration of the course, typically undertaken over a 12 month period.

The first online course is scheduled to start from May 15th with the BBA assisting the IBN in running the course in the UK. Additional courses will be run at regular intervals following the launch of the first course.

The BBA will soon be sending out further details about the course and how you can apply.

Ecobuild has Begun!

The doors to Ecobuild 2016 have now opened!

Over the next three days, the Building Biology Association will be exhibiting alongside BBA Founder Member Gale & Snowden Architects, who has been pioneering healthy building design for over 20 years in the UK. Gale & Snowden was also the first Building Biology Consultancy in the UK to be officially accredited by the IBN in Germany.

We will be on hand to discuss all things Building Biology and Healthy Buildings, what the BBA is and what it can offer. We will also be actively signing new members!

If you are at the event over the next three days, come and say hello – we are at stand E4038 (see red below)!

Free Tickets for Ecobuild!

Prior to the upcoming Ecobuild event at ExCeL London on Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th March 2016, the Building Biology Association is pleased to announce a free ticket offer for the show.

For free tickets, visitors should click on the above link and register on the Ecobuild website. Tickets will be sent via email and are valid for all three days of the event.
